Abstract
The researchers in this study aimed to know the role of principal supervisor resident in increasing student achievement in the governorate of Nablus from the viewpoint of the managers themselves , and the impact of demographic variables (Gender, educational qualification, managerial experience) on role of the manager as a supervisor .
Society in the study consisted of all managers and directors of public secondary schools in the Education Department of Nablus . This study followed the descriptive approach and the analytical approach . The study sample consisted of (60) managers. To achieve this target , a questionnaire , whose reliability and validity have been verified , has been developed . In this study used Cronbach – Alpha , the coefficient of reliability was ( 89.7% ) . The collected data of the questionnaire was analyzed by computer program (SPSS) and the following results were obtained :
1) There is no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 = α), in terms of the role of principal supervisor resident in increasing student achievement in the governorate of Nablus from the viewpoint of the managers themselves due to the variables of gender , educational qualification , and management experience .
2) The total degree of the response of a sample study of the role of principal supervisor resident in increasing student achievement in the governorate of Nablus from the standpoint of the managers themselves were great .
The recommendations of this study :
1) The need to envisage the Director during his role as a supervisor resident flexibility and raise the morale of teachers.
2) Organize specialized training courses that help school administrators in their roles as supervisors educators residents at their schools .
3) The need for coordination between educational supervisor who visiting the school and the principal of the school as a resident supervisor in all technical matters related to improving learning outcomes .
4) Conduct a study to investigate the obstacles and difficulties encountered the school administrators when carrying out their role required of them in administrative and technical educators areas and their role as supervisors residents at their schools .
