This study aims to identify the impact of applying governance principles in Palestinian educational institutions on the performance of teachers and principals in government educational institutions, by studying the impact of applying governance principles, which include the principle of transparency, the principle of accountability, the principle of participation, the principle of disclosure and integrity, and the principle of justice and equality, on the performance of teachers in Palestinian government schools in the South Nablus District. During this study, study variables were measured through a questionnaire, data were analyzed, and hypotheses were tested using a multiple linear regression model. The results of the study showed a significant positive relationship between the principles of transparency and accountability on teachers' performance in Palestinian schools. On the other hand, the results showed that the principles of participation, disclosure, integrity, and justice and equality do not have a significant impact on teachers' performance in Palestinian public schools. This study provides important input to multiple stakeholders such as teachers, school principals, decision-makers in the Ministry of Education, and legislators regarding improving the quality of education in Palestine. The study recommended the need to strengthen the concept of governance and pay attention to applying governance principles in the Palestinian public education sector, and the need to conduct comprehensive studies at the Palestinian level on educational governance and its impact on improving the quality of education and empowering the educational sector in Palestine.
