This study investigates how boards’ and audit committees (ACs) gender diversity affects information asymmetry in firms listed on the Palestine Exchange (PEX). By examining data covers 2015–2019 period from 44 firms across various sectors, regression results suggest that lower levels of information asymmetry are linked to both the women existence on boards and ACs. These results imply that gender-diverse boards and ACs improve the flow of information between firms and their stakeholders. Our study highlights the gender diversity importance in enhancing corporate governance.
