This presentation paper discuses the ethical and pedagogical complexities of teaching and researching in Palestinian universities and other institutes of higher education under the yoke of Israeli occupation. It outlines Israeli violations of Palestinian Right to Education and the obstacles academics face in their efforts to develop higher education in Palestine and the creative methods they employ to transcend theses obstacles and hindrances, using An-Najah National University as one stark example.
