This course is intended to provide an opportunity to investigate Biology and everyday life it plays. Students completing this course may move onto basic chemistry, environmental science, human anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and pharmacology. In the course we will discuss the biological activity at the level of the cell, including cell structure, chemical constituents, cellular macromolecules, architecture, microscopes, enzymes, material exchange with the environment, cell membrane, cell communication, major energy generating biochemical pathways, cellular respiration and basic concepts in cell division. Furthermore, we will learn fundamental concepts in heredity and evolution of living world. Upon course completion Students will learn a number of skills such as scientific reasoning, analysis, skills related to communication and real-world applications
