This study aimed to identify the role of Palestinian universities in confronting the phenomena of violence and extremist ideas “An-Najah national University and Palestine Technical University (Khadouri) : A Case study”. In order to achieve the aim of the study, two study instruments were distributed. The first instrument deals with the role of Palestinian universities in confronting extremist ideas. It consists of (45) items distributed on (5) domains. The second instrument deals with the role of the Palestinian universities in confronting the spread of the phenomena of violence. It consists of ( 46) items distributed on (4) domains. This is because he sample of the study consists of (332) individuals; (44) of whom are teaching staff members and (288) are university students. The results of the study indicated a rise in the degree of reasons leading to the spread of extremist ideas and the phenomena of violence among the students of An-Najah National University and Palestine Technical University (Khadouri). The results also indicated the existence of statistically significant differences of the reasons of the spread of extremist ideas and the phenomena of violence among the students of the two universities which are due to the variables (university, gender, faculty of humanities) and there are no statistically significant differences among the students of the two universities due the name. In the light of the results of the study, the two researchers made several recommendations
