This research aims to investigate efficacy of using a mathematical
modeling-based program that involves applications of (interactive computer -
Augmented Reality), and its role in developing spatial sense skills among six
grade mathematics students in Palestinian schools. The research sample
consisted of (112) students, divided into three groups: The first experimental
group was (37) students, they learned mathematics using a mathematical
modeling-based program that involves applications of interactive computer; the
second experimental group was (37) students who learned mathematics using a
mathematical modeling-based program that involves applications of augmented
reality; while the third group (control group) was (38) students who learned
mathematics according to the usual method. The research tool was prepared as
the following: A test of spatial sense skills that included (realization of
background image, recognition of geometric shapes and models, realization of
shape stability, realization of geometric relationships, visual discrimination and
geometric constructions). The research results showed that - in the posttest of
spatial sense - there is a statistically significant difference (α=0.05) between the
averages of the three groups, in favor of the two experimental groups.
