The research addressed an issue “Ruling on taking an interest-based loan in cases of necessity and some of its contemporary applications - An objective jurisprudential study” according to the descriptive, analytical and comparative approach. The research presented Qur’anic verses on usury and some Qur’anic verses on necessity which are suitable for the subject of the research by explaining the occasion of its descent, meanings and connotations. Then we discussed the legality of usurious loans in cases of necessity. Among the most important results: Usury is strictly prohibited, but it is permissible in cases of special necessity, which are estimated in each case separately, according to the rule (necessities permit prohibitions) provided that the necessity is real, not delusional.
