Gold Zeeher’s studies are the most important among Orientalism studies focusing on criticism of Islamic heritage. His book “Doctrines of Islamic Interpretation” is a research specialized on the history of interpretation among Muslims. He raised several suspicions about the interpretation of Ibn Abbas. This study came to analyze and respond to these suspicions by inducing the sayings of Gold Zeeher related to Ibn Abbas, according to the inductive method, and then analyzing and criticizing them according to the analytical and critical approaches.

The study concluded that Gold Zeeher had a selective approach in dealing with the narratives away from the scientific methodology in scrutinizing and criticizing these narratives, besides launching claims without evidence to serve his goals
