As the title indicates, this study examins the actantial model in terms of its procedural effectiveness and analytical return in reading the poem "In Jerusalem" by Tamim Al-Barghouti from a semiotic point of view, As invented by A. J. Grimas in the theory of narrative semiotics and developed by Joseph Curtis after him.

It stops at the syntax narrative of the poem "In Jerusalem" according to its narrative sequences, and clarifies the actantial model specific to each of its sequence, to reach the basic actantial model, which covers the overall discourse of the poem; Because it is formed from models formed from different sequences.

It turns out that the application of the actantial model to a poem has increased knowledge about it, and led to its organization and clarity at the level of the factors and actions that accomplish it.
