The study aimed to identify the degree of employment of distance education among Palestinian secondary school teachers and its relationship to their efficiency from the point of view of school principals in light of the Corona pandemic. The validity and reliability of the tools were verified by appropriate methods, and the study population consisted of (230) principals distributed among all secondary schools in the mentioned directorates, and the sample size was (99) individuals out of (230), where the sample size was obtained using a calculation equation. The sample and the Roasoft Sample size calculator and according to the Kergcie & Morgan equation, which all gave the same percentage.
The data were statistically processed using the Statistical Package for Social. Sciences (SPPS) program, using the following statistical treatments: frequencies, percentages, averages, standard deviations to estimate the relative weight of the questionnaire items, independent sample T-test in the hypothesis test. Related to gender and educational qualification, One Way ANOVA in testing hypotheses related to each of the variables (years of experience, directorate), Cronbach Alpha equation to calculate the stability of the resolution.
The results of the study indicated that the degree of distance education employment among Palestinian secondary school teachers was medium, and that the teachers’ efficiency in using distance education tools in Palestinian secondary schools from the point of view of school principals in light of the Corona pandemic was few, and that there is a statistically significant relationship. Between the degree of distance education employment among Palestinian secondary school teachers and their efficiency from the point of view of school principals in light of the Corona pandemic, which is a strong and positive relationship as the employment of distance education among Palestinian secondary school teachers increases their efficiency.
In light of these results, it is recommended to work on training teachers to possess advanced technological skills and to enroll them in more courses that qualify them to use distance education tools efficiently, and to support less experienced teachers to increase their ability to employ distance education by providing instructions and advice and providing them with everything necessary to make this process More smooth and making e-learning an educational pattern for some courses even in the event of the disappearance of the Corona pandemic, with the aim of increasing experiences with this type of education and making it easier to refer to it in time of need
