This study aims to explore the impact of using the Canva digital design platform on developing creative thinking skills among fourth-grade female students in Arabic language. The study was prompted by the observation of weaknesses in students' linguistic and expressive skills, particularly in reading, writing, oral expression, and creative expression. The researcher adopted an action research methodology, implementing an intervention plan that included a pre-test to assess skill levels, followed by the application of educational activities using Canva throughout the semester, and finally, a post-test and interviews to measure and analyze the extent of development in these skills.
The results indicated a tangible improvement in students' skills; their reading fluency and comprehension increased, as did their ability to write coherent paragraphs and express their ideas clearly. Their participation and classroom interaction also rose, and their creative thinking skills were enhanced through the original ideas and innovative designs they produced using Canva. Interviews revealed positive student impressions of the experience, with students expressing enthusiasm and increased self-confidence in learning Arabic in unconventional ways. The study recommends integrating interactive digital tools like Canva into Arabic language teaching to foster creativity, training teachers in their use, and providing the necessary technical support to ensure the success of such initiatives.
