The Level of Optimism amongst Players of The Collective Teams in The Palestinian Universities

The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of optimism amongst players of the collective teams in the Palestinian universities. In addition, to determine the differences in optimism according to game, year of study and playing experience variables. The sample of the study consisted of ( 246) players from different universities. For measurement of optimism a (15) items Abdel-Khalek (1996) scale was used.
The results of the study revealed that the level of optimism amongst players of the collective teams in the Palestinian universities was high where the percentage of response for the total score was ( 76.20 %).
Furthermore, the results indicated that there were no significant differences in optimism due playing experience, while the results revealed a significant differences in optimism due to the game and year of study variables.
Based on the study findings the researcher recommended to increase attention to sport activities for its positive role in the refinement of students and good personal adjustment with the university environment .
