Narcissism of Volleyball Players in Palestine

The purpose of this study was to investigate narcissism of volleyball players in Palestine. Furthermore, to determine the effect of playing experience, international participation, and player duty variables on the level of narcissism. The sample of the study consisted of 108 volleyball players, from different divisions in Palestine. Emmons’ (1984) inventory consisting of 37 items was used for measuring narcissism. The results revealed that narcissism is prevailing among volleyball players in Palestine, where the percentage of response of total score was 73%.Furthermore, the result revealed significant differences in narcissism due to playing experience, international participation, and player duty variables. Differences were in favor of longer experience, participants in international competition, attackers, wall defenders, and prepares.
