Course Description

The course is designed to equip the University students with the basic coping strategies with new University environment. The students come from different cultural, religious, ethical, and regions. This situation can overwhelm their mentality and increase stress to the level of anxiety and decreasing their level of coping with the University life. 

Course Objectives
  • The student will be able to:
  •  Understand the dynamic of transition period.
  • Identify the factors that can increase the level of stress.
  • Prioritizing barriers that can prevent adjusting University life.
  • Demonstrating the weaning strategy from School life into University life.
  • Transferring coping strategy from University Student to School student.

  • A.1- Define the basic concepts of School life versus University life.
  • A.2- Recognize  the developmental stage changes.
  • A.3- Building the basic coping strategies.
  •  A.4- Bridging the prominent positive behavioural traits between school and University life.

        B.1. Assess and diagnose the gap between school and University lifes.

        B. 2. Cope effectively with the University life.

        B.3. Aware of the new life and academic changes.

 

       C- Professional and practical skills

       

           The practical part mostly include:

       C.1 Identifying the stress provoking situations.

       C.2 Emotional debriefing for the most concerned ideas.

       C.3 Starting to bridge the life between School and University.
