Dr. Moien Omar is currently an Associate Professor of Power Electronics and Energy Systems at An-Najah National University, where he teaches courses in Electrical Machines and Power Electronics for undergraduate students, as well as Smart Grids and Distributed Generations for Master's students. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from An-Najah National University, Palestine, and a M.Sc. degree in Clean Energy and Energy Conservation Engineering from the same university, with a thesis titled "Computer-Aided Design and Performance Evaluation of PV-Diesel Hybrid System," which he completed in 2008.
In 2012, he was awarded a full scholarship to pursue his PhD in Power Electronic Converter Applications, and in 2015, he successfully defended his thesis entitled "Power Converters and Control for Grid-Connected Microgrids under Unbalanced Operating Conditions." Dr. Moien's research interests include alternative energy systems, power converter control, and applications.
