Biography

Dr. Abdelhaleem Khader is a Water and Environmental Engineering Associate Professor in the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, An-Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine since 2013. After graduating from Utah State University with a PhD in civil and environmental Engineering in 2012, Dr. Khader spent one year at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, Canada as a postdoctoral Fellow.

In addition to supervising Master theses and graduation projects, Dr. Khader teaches various courses both in graduate and undergraduate level. These courses include: Environmental Engineering I and II, Geographic Information Systems, Principles on Scientific Research and Technical Writing, Air Quality Control, Environmental Modeling with Matlab, and Engineering Statics. 

Dr. Khader has worked in various research projrcts in the areas of air qualty, integrating microwave link data for analysis of precipitation variability, and designing groundwater quality monitoring networks. He also worked as a freelance consultant for national projects. 

Finally, Dr. Khader's research interests include: air quality and sampling, water/wastewater treatment, distributed hydrological modeling, value of information, and statistical learning machines.
