The current research aims to identify the degree to which the content of the Science and Life textbook for the sixth grade includes the dimensions of sustainable development, using the descriptive analytical method. The research population consisted of the content of the Science and Life textbook for the sixth grade, both the first and second semesters, in Palestine. To achieve the research objectives, the researchers prepared a content analysis card as a research tool, which included the three dimensions of sustainable development (social, environmental, and economic), from which thirty-four sub-indicators emerged.

The results indicated that the Science and Life textbook for the sixth grade included all dimensions of sustainable development to varying degrees. The social dimension ranked first with a rate of 11.90%, at a very good level, followed by the environmental dimension with an inclusion rate of 2.49%, at an educationally unacceptable level, and then the economic dimension ranked third with a rate of 2.13%, also at an educationally unacceptable level. The content of the textbook neglected five sub-indicators, and the sub-indicator of developing various thinking skills ranked first with a rate of 69.57%.
