The study aimed to examine the level of kindergarten teachers’ integration of 21st-century skills in their teaching of children in public and private kindergartens in Palestine, and to reveal the differences between them. The sample consisted of 328 teachers from both public and private kindergartens in Palestine. The study used a descriptive approach, and the research instrument was an 18-item questionnaire measuring five main skills: life connection skills, digital awareness, adaptability and flexibility, life connection, and innovative learning. The results showed variation in the level of application of 21st-century skills among the different dimensions in the study sample. Life connection and innovative learning skills achieved the highest means, while digital awareness and adaptability scored the lowest, indicating the need to strengthen these dimensions in early childhood programs. The results also showed statistically significant differences between public and private kindergarten teachers in favor of private kindergarten teachers, highlighting the importance of improving the educational environment in public kindergartens to match that available in the private sector. Regarding the educational level variable (diploma/bachelor’s), the results showed no statistically significant differences in most dimensions except for the life connection dimension, where diploma teachers performed better. Based on these results, the study recommended improving the work environment in public kindergartens and providing learning environments that ensure the teaching of 21st-century skills to children.
