Golden Billion Theory and Psychological Stress: A Cross-Sectional Study in Two Middle Eastern Countries

This cross-sectional study surveyed 1,113 participants in Jordan and Iraq about beliefs related to the Golden Billion theory and psychological stress. Knowledge of the theory and vaccine-related conspiracy beliefs were associated with higher anxiety. The authors report associations between education, beliefs about pandemics and vaccines, and moderate to severe anxiety.
