QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH SEVERE KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS IN HUNGARY: CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY

Ten patients with severe knee osteoarthritis in Pécs, Hungary were assessed with the Hungarian SF-36 before knee replacement. Participants reported limitations in pain, physical health and emotional roles. Women had lower physical functioning and greater emotional role limitations than men. The authors conclude that severe knee osteoarthritis is associated with low quality of life and daily pain.
