Activity level and quality of life among patients undergoing knee replacement surgery

This study evaluated physical activity and quality of life in eight Hungarian patients before and one year after unilateral total knee replacement. Objective activity monitoring and the SF-36 questionnaire showed improvements in sedentary and standing time and in quality-of-life measures. Further reduction in sedentary time may help patients gain more benefit after surgery.
