Dr. Murad Abualhasan is currently a full professor in pharmaceutical chemistry at An-Najah National University, Department of Pharmacy. He did his BSc. in pharmacy from Jadavpur University- Calcutta, India (1996). He got a scholarship from NUFFIC to obtain an MSc degree in clinical epidemiology (Pharmacoepidemiology) in 1999 from Erasmus University (Netherlands). He then obtained a scholarship from Said Foundation and did another MSc in pharmaceutical analysis from the University of Strathclyde (UK) in 2006. He then got a fellowship from the University of Strathclyde (UK) and earned a PhD degree in medicinal chemistry (2011). Dr. Abualhasan has good working experience with analytical instruments like (NMR, HPLC, LCMS, etc). He worked with instruments like Microwave and Flash chromatography (SP4) during his chemical synthetic research. During his work in the Palestinian Ministry of Health ((1996-2006), he gained a lot of knowledge in drug registration, pharmaceutical formulations, and quality control. His research interest is mainly in the synthesis of novel drug molecules and the development of validated analytical methods.
