Prof. Imad was born in Nablus on December 10, 1962. He studied the basic stage at Ibn Qutaybah School and completed the secondary stage in the scientific branch at Qadri Tuqan Secondary School in (1980), then he inrolled the Russian Academy for Sports Culture and obtained a master’s degree in physical education, specializing in gymnastics ( 1986), then he obtained a doctorate in sports training theories from the same academy in 1989.

Dr. Imad worked as a teacher and director of sports activities at the Arab Diplomatic School in Moscow until 1996, after which he returned to the homeland and worked as an assistant professor of physical education in the Department of Physical Education at An-Najah National University. In 2001, he obtained the rank of Associate Professor, and in 2008 he obtained the rank of Professor.

Dr. Imad published more than seventy articles in local, Arab, and international scientific journals. He participated in writing physical education curricula in the Palestinian Ministry of Education in the year (1999-2005). He participated in a number of sports conferences in Arab countries. He was also a member of a large number of committees. Among them are the Research and Studies Committee at the College of Educational Sciences, the Scientific Research Committee, the Al-Najah Award Committee for Scientific Research, a member of the Promotions Committee at An-Najah National University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Sports Court, a member of the Executive Council of the Palestinian Football Association, and a coordinator of the doctoral program in sports sciences at An-Najah National University.

Supervised and discussed  prof. Imad has more than (100) master’s theses in physical education and held several positions, including head of the physical education department (2001-2003), (2014-2018), and dean of the college of physical education (2009-2011), and he is still at his work at the college of humanites and educational in sports scince debartment.
